Fitness Class/Program Activities*
The Fit for Fun Program is an eclectic blend of challenging group fitness and target training classes, mind/body and nutrition workshops and fashion, beauty and grooming sessions for a synergistic approach to overall health and well being. The program will incorporate the great outdoors and the fitness center for such activities as morning hikes, pool aerobics, beach workouts, target training, water and sand volleyball, poolside fashion shows, moonlight yoga, drumming circles on the beach and so much more! Couples will leave feeling fit, alive and informed plus closer in touch with each other and themselves individually. Program Highlights*: PARTNER YOGA Work with your partner for support and a deeper sense of understanding for each other. Doing poses together allows you to rely on each other for a physical support, which gives you a deeper sense of trust for your partner. FULL BODY WORKOUT For men and women utilizing weighted medicine balls, tubing and body weight to get tone, firm and ready to wear your bathing suite proudly! ON THE BEACH WORKOUT A 60 minute partner workout on the beach doing resistance exercises and also fun drills, such as sprint and relays. MIRROR CHI GONG Experience an interactive class where you mirror each other's breathing and body movements. TAI CHI IN THE POOL Flowing movements that are refreshing and calming. FABULOUS FASHIONS Join us for a poolside fashion show to showcase the latest swimwear and resort wear for men and women. PAMPER YOURSELF The staff at Sandals Red Lane Spa® will join us to talk about the latest spa treatments with demonstrations and free product samples. AQUACIZE: CARDIO FUN IN THE POOL A fun and inspiring workout done in the pool to keep you cool while your heart rate rises! RISE AND SHINE LOVERS HIKE Begin your day enjoying an early morning hike into the beautiful Jamaican landscape. (Can be done alone if your mate wants to sleep in) LOOK LIKE A STAR Insider tips on fashion, beauty and grooming. Also, get the real scoop on how the celebrities that grace the covers of SHAPE and Men's Fitness get that look! STYLE Q & A Shape's Executive Style Director, Jacqui Stafford, answers your personal style questions and talks about the latest trends in beauty and grooming and fashion. CONNECT — COUPLES SUNSET YOGA Connect deeply with your partner as the sun sets among the soothing rhythms of live drums. Learn basic yoga postures, deep relaxation and breathing techniques while diving into the glow of the Jamaican sunset. FIRE DRUM DANCE TRANCE Join us around the fire for the ancient practice of drumming and dancing. Experience the vibration of the drums, the energy of dance and get lost in the trance. GO DEEP — meditation FOR COUPLES Go on a relaxing journey with the hypnotic rhythm of live drums. 30-minute guided meditation to deepen your heart space and gratitude for your partner. Optional use of aroma therapy. STREAMLINE SCULPT Create lean and tone muscles utilizing tubing and body weight. This is also for anyone and everyone wanting to firm up from head to toe. POOLSIDE WORKOUT A series of excersizes that can be done while hanging out poolside or on the beach. So don't feel guilty for soaking up a little sun, you can do that and get your workout all in 30 minutes! BATTLE OF THE DRUMS A competition of the sex's… Men vs. the Women in a tribal “Dance Off” with Misty leading the women and Jeffrey leading the men. No dance experience necessary, the rhythm will move you! 2 STRETCH AND PLAY Learn basic stretches and exercises that couples can do together. Play, laugh and learn some great ways to touch and connect with your partner. EVERYONE CAN DANCE!! Basic, easy to follow moves that will get you ready for the dance floor. Grab your partner and come learn the basics. Dance styles include: Disco, Swing, Salsa, Latin and more! BACK TO BASICS Combines the science of nutrition and puts it in terms for everyday living. FOOD MYTH BUSTERS Discover the truth about what to eat as common food misperceptions are revealed. NO RESERVATIONS Couples learn to create a “Dining Experience” (not just a meal) at home for a total sensory treat. PARTNER WORKOUTS Learn the moves (and motivating benefits) of working out with someone and why it could be the key to personal success. FORM & FUNCTION Hands-on weight training in the fitness center. YOGA GROOVE Live international drums playing soothing and evocative tribal rhythms set the atmosphere to unwind and expand. E3MOTION (Energy, Expression, Execution in Motion) Live drums, deep rhythms and music create a backdrop for this beautifully inspired class that flows through Yoga, Pilates, Core Training, Dance and Meditation. A mind/body workout that will open you up to new ideas, energize your soul and lift your spirit. TRIBAL FUNK A fusion of hip-hop, urban dance grooves, tribal moves, live drums and super funky beats. Dance moves that stretch boundaries and infuse cultures. LADIES ONLY CLASSES
While the girls are working out, the guys can participate in: Relay Races on the Beach, Group Hiking, Golf Tournament, Water and Sand Volleyball and more!
