START AN IAMS® DOG WALKING CLUB IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
Why Start Your Own Iams® Dog Walking Club? Iams® and Shape Magazine invite dog owners across the country to get fit and make new friends by walking their dogs together! You can start your own Iams® Dog Walking Club (for free!) to bond with your furry friends AND support the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
We are inviting all club leaders to collect suggested donations of $10 for the ASPCA. If you can recruit 20 members to sign up for your club and collect donations from each of them, that's $200 to better the lives of animals around the world!
HERE'S HOW TO START YOUR OWN CLUB:
1. Fill out this form.
2. Recruit Members: E-mail friends and family, use social networking sites like Facebook, or create flyers and post them in local places that dog owners frequent to recruit others to join your Iams Dog Walking Club. Remind them that walking your dogs together will make life better!
3. Download (5) Iams Dog Walking Club kit forms for club leaders:
Club Leader ASPCA® Pledge Form: Pass this form around at club walks to raise money for the ASPCA®!
ASPCA Donation Form: To submit to the ASPCA® along with checks from your group.

4. Meet With Your Iams® Dog Walking Club. Contact members via email with a regular walk schedule including times and a central meeting place. Suggest that on their first walk, participants bring their $10 donations (if desired) to The ASPCA in one of two forms:
a) Check/Money Order. Payable to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
b) Credit Card Receipt. Participants may go online to www.aspca.org and donate with their credit card, and bring the printed receipt to the class.
4. Mail your completed Donation Form with all checks to:

Does my dog-walking club get any special promotion for participating? Yes! If your club signs up to become an official Iams® Dog Walking Club, Shape magazine will post your club's name and location on our official program website at www.shape.com/walkyourdog. This site will be promoted in Shape magazine and on shape.com to millions of readers.
What if one of my members wants to donate cash? Please do not collect cash donations. Please encourage your members to go online to www.aspca.org to make a credit card donation in lieu of cash.
Can members donate more then $10? Of course! Please encourage your members to give as much as they can.
What if my club records more pledges than we collect in donations? Your club will not be held accountable for members who pledge and do not donate. Just collect as many donations as you can and send them to the ASPCA®.
What if someone does not want to donate to the ASPCA®, or forgets to bring their donation when our club meets? It is not mandatory to donate to be in an Iams Dog Walking Club®. If a member would prefer not to donate, they are still welcome to participate in the club. If they forget to bring their donation or receipt when your club meets, please encourage them to mail their donation directly to the ASPCA ®.
