Jewel Elizabeth
Jewel is an ACE-certified personal trainer and Pilates instructor certified by Pilates Academy International in reformer and mat. Her ROCK SOLID: PILATES workouts have appeared in SHAPE, Today, QVC, CW11 News, and SHAPE's Pilates for Pink.

Christina Carchidi
Christina was first introduced to Pilates during her dance training at Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick N.J. After graduating from Rutgers University with a BFA in dance, she headed to New York City to train with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Christina had been teaching dance for 10 years when she decided to enroll in the program at Core Pilates N.Y.C and become a fully certified pilates instructor. Upon completion of her certification she began teaching Pilates mat classes in Manhattan studios eventually ending up at Equinox in Chelsea. Christina is dedicated to spreading the wellness message and is convinced that Pilates can change your body and your life.

Lindsay Smith
Lindsay Smith began her Pilates tutelage at the tender age of 12 under the instruction of Gayla Zuckevich, a Romana Kryzanowska certified instructor in Virginia Beach. As a ballet dancer prone to ankle injuries, she was put on the reformer to build a solid foundation of strength. She continued with private lessons through high school while dancing professionally for the Virginia Ballet Theatre. While attending NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, she studied with late Pilates elder Kathy Grant. Upon graduation Lindsay attained her comprehensive Pilates certification with elder and famed teacher-trainer, Romana Kryzanowska.

Sasha Dmochowski
Over the course of a 19-year ballet career with Boston Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, Sasha Dmochowski discovered the value of possessing a strong core, as well as the injury prevention benefits of the Pilates method. With the notion that injecting fun and creativity into abdominal strengthening is a necessity, Dmochowski enjoys her role as group fitness instructor at Equinox Fitness clubs in Manhattan, where her Pilates mat and personal training classes have a loyal following.

Jamie Graham
Jamie Graham teaches private and group fitness classes at Equinox Fitness at Park Ave & 33rd Street. She received her certification through Romana's Pilates under the tutelage of Marjorie Oron in The Hague and Sari Mejia Santo in New York. Also a dancer, she balances precision and form with rhythm and flow to inspire her clients to move with grace. This will be her fourth year participating in SHAPE's Pilates for Pink.

Michelle Roth
Michelle has been a dancer since the age of 7 and became professional in 2001. Her passion, however, has always been teaching Group Fitness. She holds certifications in AFAA Group Fitness, Reebok Cycling, Stott Pilates, and teaches hip hop and Latin style dance. Michelle is currently the Group Fitness Manager at Equinox 43rd, 44th, and 50th Streets.

Julia Y. Edwards
Julia Y. Edwards has been a Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor since 2007 and studying Pilates intensely since 2000. She has been fortunate to learn from movement artists during her explorations in dance and choreography, lighting design, Pilates, Yoga, Alexander Technique and various other somatic practices. Julia draws from a lifetime of curiosity about movement, course work in Kinesiology, Anatomy and somatic practices, her love of people and a strong belief in the mind-body connection to deliver sessions which are centering, filled with good humor and tailored to each individual client’s needs for efficient, healthy movement. She creates a fluid balance between challenge and relaxation shaping an hour that is exacting, soothing and invigorating.

Vienna Wilson
Vienna teaches Pilates, yoga, and anatomy in New York City. She received her Pilates training and certification from Kelly Kane, at the Kane School of Core Integration and completed advanced trainings in anatomy, biomechanics and therapeutic applications of movement at the Swedish Institute for Allied Health Sciences. Vienna's challenging, yet playful group classes at Equinox fitness clubs, invite students to move with strength, ease and control.
  

Frederick Schjang
Is a 28-year veteran of the fitness industry. He was on the original advisory council for Equinox Fitness Clubs and helped develop the Equinox Fitness Training Institute. His Pilates classes remain among the most popular at Equinox.  His television and print credits include "Good Morning America" as well as The New York Times and Longevity Magazine, among others. He is also a faculty member of the NYU Doctorate Program in Physical Therapy. 

Jaclyn Bachor
After working with an off the shelf Pilates tape for five minutes, instructor Jaclyn Bachor decided it was a practice she wanted to pursue for a lifetime.  She enrolled as a student with world-renowned Master Teacher, Romana Krysanowska, founder of the leading institute for Classical Pilates, where she earned her certification.  Jaclyn returns to the studio as both a teacher and a student, to continue her education in depth.  As an avid Boxer, Jaclyn specializes in performance enhancement for athletes.  Throughout her career she has worked with players from the NBA and NFL.

Carey Macaleer
Carey has been practicing Pilates since the age of 12 as part of her dance training. She danced professionally in several modern dance companies in Philadelphia, and acted in NYC. Her BFA is in Modern Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Carey received her certifications through Power Pilates and Core Pilates in NYC. In addition to in home sessions, she teaches group classes at Equinox. Her love of teaching, Pilates and movement has helped her build an extensive client base in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Ellen Shadle
Ellen is a dance and fitness professional for over 15 years and counting, 10 of those years devoted to formally directing her own dance group in tandem with building her career as a Pilates instructor.  While her own training was a mix of many systems of Pilates, Ellen earned her original certification through the Stott system, and went on to receive certification from Pilates Academy International (PAI).  Ellen's progressive approach to Pilates stresses quality over quantity, goals over choreography, and is consistent with the most current kinesiological knowledge.  She will challenge abilities, accommodate limitations while being creative, supportive, and enthusiastic.

James Darling
James Darling has been teaching Pilates for the last 11 years.  He loves to have fun and make classes playful while giving a great workout. With special attention to hands on corrections, and razor sharp cueing and wit, he really keeps people motivated and strong!

Shona Mari Sapphire
Shona studied and was certified classically in the Pilates method through Master Teachers Bob Liekens and Susan Moran. Having spent 20 years in the dance world, culminating in a professional career with Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York City, Shona brings the specialized knowledge and expertise needed to translate the language of movement that is Pilates. Working with a diverse array of clients including elite athletes, models, dancers, and pre and post natal, she utilizes the Classical System of Pilates exercise to cultivate the mind/body connection in her students.
